Well after a few weeks of waiting my training day has come and I passed so I'm now officially a Shift Leader at UDF. The jump from Clerk to Shift Leader is pretty small - responsibilities are pretty much the same and I'll be the same on the food chain, just one person underneath me.
The nice thing, other than title and accomplishment is of course the raise - something like 50 cents/hour which will be great. It's nothing huge, but just something nice to get when you've never worked anywhere else for more than 6 months - let alone a promotion.
In other news I've been working on AdaptCMS, getting some progress while helping the new owner of OneCMS to release that script as well. A release for OneCMS 2.6 could be seen in the coming weeks - mostly a lot of bug fixes and file changes, but also some new features.
I'm hoping to get some basics of the AdaptCMS 2.0 backend somewhat finished by next week - since I want to make so many changes, but keep a lot of the basics I'll be nearly re-creating the admin panel and then changing it afterwards. (for possible features like editing the way the admin looks and such) Once the basic admin cp is done, work will likely start on the Insane Visions features as well as early frontend work before the new design is bought.
I'll have some early pics up this weekend.

Just a few updates to post here. First off I've been promoted at work, it'll take in effect the 18th of next week once I complete the training. Very few added responsibilities and a 50 cent/hour raise, so not bad.
In web news, OneCMS has been sold. I'll stay in a limited capacity with the script - mostly for support after the release of 2.6 and time to time, support for the new owner. We also have a deal in place with link backs. (we update each of our sites with news from the other scripts)
The official announcement regarding onecms will be made in the coming days on the Insane Visions website.
As for AdaptCMS, a blog will be posted sometime this next week about more of the new features coming to 2.0. Some work has been done on the script, I'm hoping some very early pics can be taken in the next few weeks.
That's all for now.

Just a real small update here, more-so because of lack of news rather than free time. I've just been working at UDF mostly - also been having a lot of fun with "Road to Glory" in NCAA 10.
Lastly I've been brainstorming for my CMS, slowly working on tidbits for testing purposes - I hope to get a design started by someone soon. In the meantime I'll work on some basic structure ideas and possibly start on the SQL as well as preliminary work on some of the "connect" features.
Stay tuned to InsaneVisions.com this weekend, I'll very likely be posting a blog about AdaptCMS 2.0 and some of the ideas in work for it.

Actually I've been back since Sunday, but haven't had the time to post until now. On Friday I went up to Geneva on the Lake. (Geneva, Ohio - near Cleveland) for my cousin's wedding and got home around 3-3:30ish on Sunday. At 6 that night I worked 6pm-1am and then yesterday (Monday) a family friend took my mom and me on errands. After that I went to work and today I talked to an old friend and picked up NCAA. A busy past few days.
Talking about NCAA, I'll have some impressions up shortly. I'm hoping for a good game as I skipped last years and wasn't super impressed with 08. (good, but not great) But with plenty of Birthday money and wanting a game to play, I figured I'd give NCAA a shot after seeing some good initial impressions.
In other news, with the launch of this site I'm continuing to almost re-start my web presence. There are plans in place to attempt to sell (or simply let the domain expire) of more than half my websites. This includes 24 Quotes (will be sold), Bengals Chatter (likely), Dynasty Wizard (unfortunately....likely) and GTA IV Universe. (if I can't sell, will let expire)
With those gone, that just leaves this website, AdaptCMS.com, AdaptBB.com, Adapt Software and Insane Visions. The reason for this gutting is either lack of interest (like GTA IV Universe) or no time for it. (like DW) The good news is that I can proceed with re-launching all the remaining sites. This is no coincidence of the work (currently brainstorming) for AdaptCMS 2.0, as the CMS will my top overall project.
Anyways, stay tuned for news on that and some impressions on NCAA 10.

With the release of AdaptCMS 1.5 (see here), attention now goes to a future 2.0 version of the CMS. That version will not be out for quite some times, numerous months. The reason being that the script will be completely revamped and in some areas - re-written. As well it will be sporting a completely new look.
As with all versions, the brainstorming is beginning already - although it will be much longer than normal. Once some ideas on what the admin area and frontend will look like are done - the design work can be started up in the meantime of even more brainstorming and planning.
Actual coding work may not start for a little while. (August, maybe) As AdaptCMS 2.0 will be so new, so will the official site, adaptcms.com. The site will have a new look as well and a whole host of new features, some that will tie into the CMS. (a bit of a hint of things to come)
With all said, there are a lot of goals and lofty expectations I have for AdaptCMS 2.0, which isn't a bad thing. I'll be taking it slow, as AdaptCMS in it's present form is a good-reliable-safe CMS, but now 2.0 needs to be a great CMS. One of the new general ideas is "connectivity", features that tie your CMS copy into the official site and features that connect you to other AdaptCMS users. Also a very helpful interface and features to help you to the basics, to just being able to fully manage your site with AdaptCMS.
I'll share some of my ideas here as well as at my main site - Insane Visions. Stay tuned!
